Investing With Marquee Funding Group

Marquee Funding Group offers investors an alternative and secured real estate investment. These investments are in the form of a Promissory Note secured by a Deed of Trust (Trust Deeds) and collateralized, secured, and insured on all types of property throughout California and Colorado.

Loans are screened and underwritten by licensed professionals with an emphasis on principal and yield preservation. Each aspect of the loan request is scrutinized as to the quality of the collateral, borrower’s financials & ability to repay, and verification of title to insure that investors are protected.

All investments are documented, escrowed, and evidenced by a recorded security instrument.
Marquee offers loans in both the Consumer and Commercial marketplace. Providing investors an array of choices catered to their individual investment strategy.
All loans are sold “Deal Specific” in a particular loan and piece of real property as security. Investors can expect net yields from 8-12% annually.

Scot Fine




Scot began his career in 1983 directly out of High School working for a prominent real estate broker in Encino California. In 1987 he transitioned into private mortgage banking and worked his way up the ranks in all positions in the industry. This experience gave him the insight to start his own business in Calabasas in 1994. 30+ years later he has been responsible for the origination and investment sale of over $3.0 Billion in privately held mortgages. He coined the phrase “All Roads Lead to Marquee”.



Larry got his start in the mortgage industry in 1984 as an investor. Having experienced the highs and lows of the real estate industry over the last 30+ years, Larry retains the financial discipline to make calculated, risk averse investment decisions. When he’s not in the office, you can catch him in the boxing ring. Larry holds a B.S. in Business Administration from University of Southern California.



RJ was born and raised in Los Angeles. RJ began his career in the mortgage industry in 2010 as a processor after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He quickly became Marquee’s top producer and Broker of record. To date, RJ has been involved in the origination, funding, and underwriting of over $1 billion of real estate loans in all sectors including but not limited to Residential and Commercial Loans, Construction Loans, Bridge Financing, and Special Use Property. His attention to detail and vast knowledge base gives him an edge over the competition.



Max began his career as a loan officer in 2012 after graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Business Management Economics. He adds a global perspective by having studied abroad at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Max has originated and funded over $250 million in private/hard money loans. When not cold calling and prospecting new referral sources, Max can be found surfing or traveling the world.



A mortgage industry veteran for 25+ years, Steve has accumulated a massive amount of mortgage and real estate insight. His vast experience gives his clients the upmost confidence whether they are looking to purchase, refinance, or take advantage of real estate investment opportunities. In his free time, you can catch him on the golf course, out on his kayak, or working in his yard.




After graduating from San Francisco State University in 2009, Sammy realized his passion for the mortgage industry. Since then he has been responsible for millions of  loan dollars funded. When not closing loans, he enjoys music, tennis, working out, and cheering on the Golden State Warriors with his wife and daughter.



Alex graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a B.S. in Accounting. After working in accounting Alex began her new career in the mortgage industry in 2016. She serves a diverse group of clients by proficiently speaking in Farsi, German, Hebrew  and English. This has contributed to her success of closing millions of dollars’ worth of loans. In a parallel universe, she would love to be a CIA Agent who  drives officials from point A to point B in the fastest possible time.



Ellis graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a B.A. in Psychology. Shortly after, Ellis moved to Los Angeles to work as a loan officer for Marquee. Since 2016, Ellis has successfully closed multiple million dollar deals. He’s passionate about helping individuals achieve their financial and personal goals. When not funding loans, Ellis enjoys snowboarding and spending time with his girlfriend and boxer.



A native to Los Angeles, Vahe “V” has developed a deep understanding of real estate and mortgage lending. With his natural ability to connect with people, he prides himself on being an excellent listener and provides his clients with outstanding customer service. Outside of real estate, he is a music enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter.



Eric incorporates 25+ years of real estate, finance, and collaborative conflict resolution. His high attention to detail ensures that his clients receive value beyond their expectations. Eric received a B.S. in Finance from Arizona State University. You’ll find him on the basketball court, hiking, or working on his latest landscaping project with his wife and 2 dogs when he’s not helping clients.



Robert holds an MBA honors graduate degree with emphasis in finance from California State University, Northridge.  He has over a decade of private equity lending experience.  Prior experience includes engineering, project management, construction and design of architectural products and machinery. Robert’s personal interests are technology, photography, home improvement, skiing, and travel.



Brian practiced as a personal injury attorney before joining the mortgage industry 20 years ago.He bring 20+ years of legal and mortgage experience to both borrowers and investors. Brian holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and a J.D. from San Fernando Valley College of Law. He enjoys working out, swimming, and hiking in his free time.



John began his real estate career in 2014 working for a top commercial real estate firm in Los Angeles that specializes in office lease negotiation, corporate advisory, and investment sales. Since then he has closed millions of dollars of real estate transactions regionally and nationally as both a real estate broker and loan originator. He is characterized by his clients as professional, knowledgeable, and effective. John holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Oregon. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family, reading, and traveling.



Veronica began her real estate career in the loan processing department in 2003.  With her wealth of knowledge, she is a very well informed and savvy originator.  Veronica co-hosts, “Not Your Mother’s Podcast” and enjoys relaxing on the beach with her husband and two daughters when she’s not originating loans.



Roni is originally from the great state of Arizona. She has been a team member of the core staff at Marquee for over 15+ years and plays the pivotal role overseeing not only as our funding director but also as Marquee’s agent in the coordination of all transactional closings. She works with all departments including loan origination, processing, investment sales, and all title related activities.



Megan possesses over 5 years of experience as a loan processor. She works alongside Marquee’s Closing Agent, Roni to get loans to the finish line as quickly as possible. When she’s not in the office, you can catch her on the golf course, playing ukulele, and spending time with her daughter.



Arman assists Roni, Marquee’s Closing Agent to solve  title and escrow issues. He has a B.A. in Communications from California State University Northridge. Arman can be found practicing jiu-jitsu and spending time with his family in his free time.



Danielle is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin. She takes pride in being the first point of communication when people contact Marquee. When Danielle’s not in the office, she loves to travel and indulge in music and fashion.
